Lead front-end engineer advising nonprofit organizations on technical best practices for accessibility, architecture and security. Leading a team of 4 in creating and maintaining modern web applications for clients. Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers by advising on modern front-end practices and creating front-end training resources.

  • Data Reporting Application - Created an application for Concord Direct's business intelligence team. The application ensures clean data is provided to all client reports, which decreases turnaround time by an average of 50%.
  • A/B Testing - Researched, advised, integrated and trained Concord Direct's largest digital services client on A/B testing. The A/B testing tool was integrated into 2 of the client's highest trafficked websites.
  • JAMstack Pivot - In a team of 3, transitioned Concord Direct's leading client from 15 Wordpress sites to JAMstack websites with a headless CMS. The switch increased accessibility and page speed scores, and resolved all flagged security vulnerabilities.

Embrace Pet Insurance

Supported the company’s website and 3 customer-facing applications. Led a team of 6 through the project lifecycle, including gathering project requirements and leading all Scrum events.

  • Policy Restructure - Led a team of 6 in adding new policy options to all internal and external applications. Responsibilities included gathering requirements and writing user stories; leading team through Scrum events; teaching team to use new work management software, Jira. Sole front-end developer on project to update all internal and external applications.
  • Embrace Pet Insurance Rebrand - Main point of contact for contractors working on the company’s customer-facing applications. Created documentation, trained contractors in Embrace’s code standards and performed code reviews.
  • Website Migration - In a team of 3, transitioned customer-facing website to headless CMS. Built web scraping tool to migrate 95% of website data to new site. Gathered requirements and created user stories; wrote documentation for best practices and code standards; and performed code reviews.
  • Quote Engine Revamp - In a team of 6, modernized the entire tech stack of our policy purchase application. Converted the front-end from AngularJS to Angular. Integrated Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics into the new application.

Contributed to Emerson’s Commercial Residential web development team as both a front-end .NET developer and Scrum Master. Involved in the full lifecycle of development, including scoping out project requirements, writing tickets and quality assurance.

  • Klauke Website Migration - In a team of 6, migrated over customer, media and product data to a new CMS platform. Gathered requirements and led the team through Scrum events, including sprint planning and retrospective.
  • Greenlee Website Migration - Created a new user interface that follows Emerson’s stylistic standards. Migrated over media and product data to the new Emerson CMS platform. Scrum Master for a team of 6.

  • Distributor Application - Created a responsive web application in a team of 2. The application allows a new potential distributor interested in partnering with UCFS to apply online rather than the current paper application.
